Production and Development
Tom Hardy confirmed his involvement in a third Venom film as early as August 2018. By December 2021, following the release of the second film, development had already begun. Kelly Marcel, who co-wrote the script with Hardy, was announced as the director in October 2022, marking her directorial debut. Filming began in Spain in late June 2023 but faced a temporary halt in July due to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike. Production resumed in November and concluded by the end of February 2024. The film’s title, Venom: The Last Dance, was revealed in March 2024.

Release Information
Venom: The Last Dance is set to hit theaters in the United States on October 25, 2024, and will be available in IMAX and other premium large formats. The release date was initially scheduled for July 12, 2024, but was adjusted several times due to the strike before settling back into the October slot.
Streaming and Home Media
Sony's deals with Netflix and Disney, signed in April 2021, cover the 2022 to 2026 film slate. Venom: The Last Dance will be available for streaming on Netflix during the exclusive "pay 1 window," typically an 18-month period. Afterward, it will be available on Disney+ and Hulu, as well as on Disney's linear television networks, thanks to the "pay 2 window" rights agreement.
